There was a lot of:

• Americana
• America in the 1970s
• Atomic stuff (proliferation/destruction)
• Post September 11th
• Crafty folded paper projects
• string hanging from things
• child like line drawings
• group shows

Selling art is hard in the city in the summer, hence the number of group shows / best of  show I saw.
