Rize, a documentary by David LaChapelle is a wonderful piece of film. Filled with Clowns, Krumpers, stripper dancing, the LA neighborhoods of South Central and Watts, and a sense of hope, belonging, possibilities, history. Mostly beauty of movement by people on film who tell stories with their bodies and articulate their desires and needs with an amazing amount of passion, courage, and commitment. This is a fun movie.
I also saw "War of the Worlds," but since we all should know how it ends, my attention will be with RIZE, because I don't know how it ends.
